Your Hair Is Thinning: Now What?

Thinning hair most commonly affects men, but it is also something that women can experience too. And when it hits, it can really throw your emotions off track. You suddenly realize that you’re looking at your youth in the rearview mirror and entering middle age.

But is it all downhill? Or are there things that you can do to slow down the thinning of your hair or stop it in its tracks?

Check out these ideas.

Do Whatever You Can To Reduce Your Stress Levels

via

A little bit of stress is actually quite good for you. It helps you to perform in life, get ahead in your career, and succeed in your relationships. But when you overload the system and don’t give it time to recover, that’s when you get into trouble.

Stress, however, exerts a unique effect on the hair and can cause it to go grey and fall out. Recently, researchers discovered the mechanism. Heightened levels of cortisol in the system - one of the main stress hormones - attack the hair follicles. Over time, they lose their ability to create the pigment, and eventually, they can die entirely. The result is thinning, patchy hair, which, most likely, won’t come back.

So what can you do? Well, FUE hair transplants are one option. But you can also try getting more sleep, worrying less about stuff in your life like work, and spending more time unwinding healthily.

Use Ayurvedic Remedies

The ancient Indian culture knew a thing or two about how to deal with cosmetic issues. One of their remedies, for instance, was to feed people a type of gooseberry called Amalaki. The fruit, they believed, promoted vigor and passion - and restored the hair.

Interestingly, they weren’t far wrong. When modern scientists investigated Amalaki, they saw that it could increase the activity of hormones involved in follicle stimulation. Many people who eat the fruit report seeing more hair growth on their heads (and the rest of their bodies). Not a bad thing!

Try A Hair Mask

Hair masks were virtually unknown ten years ago, but now they’re becoming much more accessible, thanks to their therapeutic qualities. Most masks use a combination of natural and synthetic ingredients to nourish the hair from root to tip. This process helps to strengthen each strand, making them less prone to breakage when you use the hairbrush. Just remember to wash it out thoroughly afterwards.

Drink Peppermint Tea

There’s some evidence that peppermint tea might help people with hair loss. A chemical in peppermint appears to block the formation of a testosterone-related byproduct called DHEA that seems to damage follicular cells. When you drink peppermint tea, chemicals flood the bloodstream, and DHEA levels go down, potentially protecting the follicles and stopping them from being inactivated.

Thinning hair can just be a part of life, but there are always things that you can do to reverse it, even if they’re cosmetic. Or you can wear it with pride. It really is up to you and how you feel about it.

I'm ready to PARTY

Heyyyyyy guys. I know it’s been awhile since I have officially come on here and wrote. Thankfully the blog has been active though thanks to some awesome collaboration’s I have gotten to be apart of.

SO today I just had to come on here and tell you guys about a super adorable and chic company that I know you are all going to love.

But first things first, I know right now is freaking crazy and scary because of the corona virus. BUT you have to remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. This will not go on forever and we will get back to everyday life! I promise. Remember we are all in this together and I pray that everybody stays safe, sane and inside during this weird time we are living in.

With that said, lets talk about something coming up that I know SO many of you have been looking forward too. GRADUATION! Whether you are graduating from middle school, high school, college, beauty school etc. you deserve to be celebrated! I know you’re thinking I can’t celebrate during this quarantine time; we’re all stuck at home. Yes, that is true; for now. However, I say instead of dwelling on the now let’s start thinking about the future and make plans for what we’re going to do once it’s all over. I feel having things to look forward to always makes it easier during a tough time.

So upcoming Grads lets get those graduation invites going. Start making a list of whom you want at your party. Don’t worry about finding the perfect graduation party invites; I have you covered with Basic Invite.

I really love using Basic Invite because they are one of the few websites that allows me to have almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Plus Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows me to order a printed sample of their actual invitation before I place my final order. Which is SO helpful because then I can see the paper quality and how my invite it will print, making sure my card is perfect.

I really love how easy Basic Invite makes it to gather all my friends information so I can send my invites. They offer an address capturing service that allows me to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media to request my friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are then stored in my account and can be selected during the design process. I mean how freaking cool is that?! It can be really helpful when dealing with hundreds of addresses. They also offer recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders.

I know I have been talking about Graduation Invites, but Basic Invite has a whole array of events to choose from for example; weddings, birthdays, retirements, stationary, baby showers and seriously so much more.
