One of the main reasons I love fashion is because you can make it your own. Everyone can have the same exact clothes but the way you style & wear it, is your choice. It gives you a chance to express your inner fashonista. A plain white tee can be looked at as boring & same ol’ same ol’ but think about all the different ways you can wear it. All the different accessories you can add to it. The layers of clothes you can put on it. So this plain white tee isn’t so plain anymore. You’ve made it your own.

I can look at a top & style it completely different than someone else would… & to me that’s cool.

I know from my personal styling experience that a lot of people have trouble styling certain items. They may look at a top & instantly think, "I can't wear that...what would I do with that?"

So I wanted to find a fun way to interact with other bloggers incorporating fashion help. Something to convey who we are. To show our style. To put our creative minds to work. To challenge us to step outside of the box. To express our inner fashionista. To show people the different ways to style an item depending on your body type & you.

So #TheMessyProject was born

The Messy Project is a monthly project in which 4 girls each month (5 including me will receive an item of clothing from me & the goal is to style the item however YOU would wear it. You can add whatever you want. It’s YOUR item so I want you to make it yours.

Since I pick out the item please know you may get something that you normally would never ever wear. But that's the point of The Messy Project - to challenge yourself. To be creative & step outside of the norm.
(the item may not always be a top)

**however rest assure I do buy based on the group of girls. Please do not hesitate to sign up because you feel you're not 'thin' enough.
#TheMessyProject is for all shapes & sizes!!!

Then on a scheduled date, all 5 of us will blog & post pictures of our outfit & what we did with it linking to each others blog. Reveal day always brings in a lot of traffic

In addition, your picture from the project & blog name will be displayed on The Messy Project tab section of my blog as you can see above.  As well as your logo on my sidebar for the month you participate.

The Messy Project brings in a ton of traffic on the day of the reveal. It really is a fun project to be apart of & something everybody looks forward to every month.

I feel this project is a great way to meet other bloggers, express your creative side, increase your blog traffic & gain more exposure.

You do not have to be a fashion blogger to be a part of The Messy Project. It is open to anyone & everyone!

You are allowed to do #TheMessyProject as many times as you want, there are no limits.

It is $40* to be apart of #TheMessyProject
( via paypal or check )

Again you do NOT have to be a fashion blogger to participate. That’s the point of The Messy Project, for everyone to come together, be creative & show their style.

the fine print
you do not pay until a week or two before your scheduled month
you will receive details about your turn a week or two before your month starts
you have no say in what item you get sent
the item will not always be a top

#TheMessyProject will be happening TWICE a month starting in June!
