LIFE.
It moves fast.
Too fast.
& sometimes we are all so wrapped up in our own lives that we don't ever stop to actually enjoy the life we live.

Life is hard, really hard. We just keep going & never stop. With all the constant interaction we have at our finger tips its no wonder we all get so wrapped up in the hustle & bustle of life.
Personally I annoy the hell outta myself when I am actually relaxing & I check my phone & then literally 5 minutes later I check it again. And for what? It's not like something drastic has changed in those 5 minutes.
I wonder why I continue to do that, knowing what I am doing.
Is it because I really need to know what happened in those last 5 minutes?
Or is it out of boredom?
Doesn't matter.
I need to realize it's okay to disconnect. It's okay to not answer emails, tweets etc for a few hours or even the whole day. It's okay to take a moment out of my everyday just for me.

So I challenge you to all take some time this week for yourself. Put down your phones. Get off the computer. Get disconnected. Don't worry it will all be there when you get back. Do something for you. Take a break from your hectic life & just enjoy being alive.

You are so right! I am constantly fussing with my phone, tweets, instagrams, you name it. I need to take a step back and realize what is truly important! Have a wonderful holiday beautiful :)
love this post!! we need to just enjoy life! happy thanksgiving.
word, girlfriend! I actually deactivated my facebook account this week and it felt SO liberating!!
I absolutely love this post! It's incredibly true. That's why i don't blog on weekends and I don't blog when I'm on vacation. I'm heading to my parents' tonight and it's nice because it's one of the times I don't use my phone for hours at a time and usually don't even know where it is... and it's OK!
So true. I won't be blogging again until next week. And even then I feel like I don't be able to get back into the swing of things. I check my phone every five minutes too. And for what reason? If something truly jaw dropping happened I'm pretty sure the phone would ring. No need to keep picking it up. But I just can't help it. Sigh I think it's just our generations way of life forever
Another one of my favorite posts Kelly! So true & I do the same thing all of the time & also find myself thinking the same thing :)
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

I do exactly the same thing. I guess I'm not the only obsessed freak. Hahah. Your blog is fantastic
AMEN! That is my goal this weekend, and were doctors orders!
I am awful about this too! I'm going to try and disconnect for the holiday! :)
Yes ma'am! and sometimes it feels so good to disconnect and actually live your life! Hugs to you!
Preach it Sister Girl!! I always find myself checking twitter or fb or instagram knowing good and well not a dang thing has changed in the last minute.
Oh Kelly, you always know how to speak to my heart :) I absolutely love this post and I too am SO guilty of checking my phone every 2 minutes. If I go 10 minutes without checking I consider that to be good.....seriously?! lol anyways, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family :)
Couldnt have said it better! i do the same thing and its so frusturating. my phone gives me anxiety and we have a love hate relationship!
Cant wait to seee you tomorro

How did you get so smart Ms. Kelly?! For reals ... I love love love this post!!! Happy Thanksgiving my friend!!! :-)
I couldn't agree more!! I am so guilty of this too. It is a HORRIBLE habit. Thanks for the reminder to just relax and enjoy life with the ones we love. Enjoy your time with family and friends. Happy Thanksgiving, sweet girl!
Truer words have never been spoken! I try REALLY hard to limit the Tweeting and Instagramming once I hit the door at home...it's good to disconnect!
Thanks for the reminder! I was just thinking how overwhelmed I am trying to read all the bloggers I follow and I've just entered the whole blogging world. I'm going to have to choose my favorites and stick with them for a while. I think I follow too many to keep up with.
And...I do the EXACT same thing with my phone. Tomorrow I'm definitely unplugging as I'll be busy cooking and EATING.
Happy Thanksgiving!
You are so right! Happy Thanksgiving! xoxo
Does a 3 hour flight count as disconnecting ;)
Xxx
Love this! It's sooo true! I went on a holiday to Fiji this year and didn't check my blog/facebook/ and even left my phone in Australia for 2 whole weeks - best decision ever. And guess what? I actually didn't miss a whole heap! x
Disconnecting is a VERY good thing. I got to do that in Florida and it was AMAZING. Now I'm working towards a good balance all the time.
