welcome back to another edition of the MINI project! We didn't have one last month due to #TheMessyProject 1 year celebrations so we're back & better than ever!
Not sure what the MINI is? Here's just a quick intro --->>
SO since summer is coming to a close for some I thought I would tackle the last month of summer with something we are constantly wearing throughout the summer & even throughout the year....& because I like to spice it up I went with something bright & retro ----->>
I don't know about you but you are more likely to see me in sunglasses than not....one time at Starbucks the barista didn't even recognize me without my shades.....& yes I am that girl who wears them inside...but here's my reasoning besides the fact that I don't give a shit - but say I am running into the store to get some milk, why go through the hassle of taking them off, putting them in their case & then 5 minutes later have to get them out of the case again and put them on...its just so much easier to keep them on.
sidenote: i highly recommend always keeping your sunnies in a case, it will protect the lenses & you will have them much longer if you do. I am such a nut about it that I even sent the girls cases for their new sunnies.
Some say I have a sunglasses obsession...I say that's an understatement. The proof is HERE...
SO I know sometimes people think they can't wear particular sunglasses because the of shape etc. & yes, sometimes that is true.....but if you truly, reallllly love them, get 'em & just have fun with them.
For these sunglasses I loved the fun bright color that I wanted to incorporate that in what I chose to wear with them ---->>
This tie dye dress had touches of the color in it so to enhance it even more I took a headband that I have that matched perfectly & tied it around my waist to make a belt. Since there is already so much going on with the dress & belt, I didn't want to add too much more so I kept it simple with some silver jewelry and my ankle gladiators. As I always say less is more.
dress: lincoln street boutique sunglasses: forever 21 gladiators: sam & libby necklace: tiffany & co headband/belt: san clemente antiques & decor ring: forever 21 |
What do you think of the retro sunglasses? Do you like the color? How would you have styled them? Now go & check out how the other ladies have styled they're shades...some may surprise you ----->>
& see you next week for another round of #TheMessyProject......& this month there is a theme but I'm not going to tell you, I want to see if you'll catch it.
tgif lovers.

These glasses, def. aren't "my style" however its what you say, that sometimes even if something isn't particularly your style but you like them you can always add a little personal touch to make them into your own. I really had fun & thought all the girls did a fabulous job!
xoxo.
