With the fall season upon us, it is the perfect time to
update your wardrobe for the new season. You don’t have to break the bank to
look good either. Here are a few quick and simple tips and tactics that will
spring your wardrobe back to life.
Check the Fit
You need to examine every single piece of clothing
that you have, even your bathing suits and underwear. When you have done this,
you then need to make sure that it fits properly. If you have clothing items
that just don’t seem to be working, then now is the time for you to get rid of it.
I realized after many years of cleaning out my closet; that I always feel
better about adding new things when I have given the old, out of date pieces
away. However, I totally understand there are those certain pieces you just can’t
give up. But what I they don’t fit anymore? Well then you can have those pieces
tailored. Cleaning out your closet and going over the fit and style of clothing
is a fantastic way for you to downsize your wardrobe so that you can invest in
new, quality pieces.

Stay Organized
Now lets pull everything out of your closet and organize
your clothing. It really helps to visualize everything that you actually have. When
you do, there’s a high chance you will find endless outfits that you have
forgotten about entirely. Some advice that helps when organizing your closet is
to keep seasonal items together. For example, keep all sweaters together, not
mixed in with tank tops. This will make finding clothes way easier and it will
also help you to stop taking hours to get dressed in the morning. Once
you have everything organized how you like it you can start putting together outfits and take your wardrobe to the next level.
Get Crafty
One way for you to inject life back into your old wardrobe
and save money would be for you to take a pair of scissors and cut a larger
opening at the top of the t-shirt. This will show off much more shoulder and it
will also make it easier for you to get that vintage look. You might also want
to get a needle and create a fun button-down shirt. This will help you to create
something that is totally unique too, and it will also make it much easier for
you to reuse your older items. Not into crafting your own clothes? No worries, with the fall season upon us the stores are buzzing with new merchandise. PLUS you might even be able to pick up some discounts
by shopping for Black Friday deals too, so keep an eye out for those.
It’s All About the Accessories
One of my favorite and easiest ways to spice up your wardrobe is to add accessories. So you don’t
break the bank invest in cheaper necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Once you do,
you will see how simple you can jazz up any outfit and that you can also do it
on a budget. If you have an old bag, why not add some badges, patches or even
strips of material? This will transform it into something completely new and it
will also give you the chance to cater it to the outfit you are wearing, and
you may even find that you are able to mix and match too.
Colors
I love colors. My closet is organized by color. One of the reasons I organize by color is so it's easy for me when putting together outfits. Black is one of my favorite colors to wear, but if you have different colored tops, then why not mix and
match them with jeans, or even suit pants? It's okay to take a risk and have fun.
Sometimes you just need to stop
wearing the same outfit all the time because you will find that your outfit
becomes stale and you get in a clothing rut. Don't let that happen to you. Be
bold, be daring and have a single-person fashion show in front of the mirror.
You’ll thank yourself for it.
