lets elope!

well well well...look what day it is - FRIDAY! I told you this week would fly by! Yesterday we had our first rain of the season! It was a full blown storm! I love it. However I only like stormy days when you have nothing to do & can lay in bed all day watching movies. Going outside in that mess is craziness. It ended up clearing up later on in the day - check out the beautiful sunset we had

So we are getting closer to Halloween! Are you excited? We finally put up decorations at our house! Sadly though, we don't get any trick-or-treaters which was really devastating to me the first halloween we realized no one was coming. Before we had moved into that house, back in our family home where I grew up our street was THE street to be for trick-or-treating. We would get over 500 people. No joke. It was insanity but we loved every minute of it. So going from 500 people to no one was defiantly disappointing  I am hoping to go to Disneyland this year on Halloween if the BF doesn't have Fire. We will see. But check out some of our Halloween decorations!

so today I am super excited to introduce you to another fabulous blogger! She has a fun blog that dabbles in everything  - life, work, fashion & her new store! I have gotten to knew her pretty well over the past few months & I really enjoy her outgoing personality. She is just a complete sweetheart. My favorite thing about her blog though is hearing about her amazing job. I have a lot of respect for people who work in this profession & I love hearing everything about it. Plus she looks so cute in her scrubs! So without further ado

Hey everyone! I'm Paige and I blog at Eloping Stethoscope. It used to be The Eloping Stethoscope but like facebook, I dropped the 'the'. Isn't that the way it always goes? I thought I'd introduce myself by sharing a few random facts. First, I love pot roast with carrots and potatoes. Seriously, I get really giddy whenever I know we're eating it for dinner.
Second, I'm probably the biggest slack of a nursing student ever. Nursing students are supposed to be analytically  attentive and super focused. If I sit in a four hour lecture class, I will start pretending I'm a seal and balancing pencils on my nose. I've also been known to spin in my chair.
To contrast that, I run the mentor program through my school. Figure that one out will ya? My husband, Cody, and I got married after 11 months of knowing each other and he's a full foot taller than me. It makes for some interesting pictures. On my blog, you'll find me elaborate on all of this and much more, so stop by!

1.)  It’s your last day on earth - what do you do?
I will probably eat pot roast, carrots and potatoes and then spend all day with Cody and my mom. I can tell you that the last thing I would be doing is going to clinical or class!

2.) Tell us about your new business.
I started making jewelry because I couldn't ever find bracelets that fit my tiny wrists or earring that didn't bother my ears. I wanted to make myself accessorize more so I just started making it! A few friends wanted me to sell it or make them custom pieces and my great grandmother shared all of her supplies from her own jewelry making hobby years ago and so the shop was born! Any piece that I make, I'm willing to make longer or shorter at no extra charge, because I believe that just like clothes, not every piece of jewelry will fit every woman! Recently, I've begun to start making hair accessories and those have been really taking off! Making jewelry is my stress reliever and I don't see it stopping any time soon!

3.) What is one thing we don't know about you that you think we should?
I had a cat named Oreo that was actually all black. She was named because I was craving oreos. She was very close to being "Dorito". I have no idea why you need to know this, but you do!

sooo the lovely Paige is giving away a $10 Starbucks Gift Card & A Custom "Layer It" Bracelet from her new shop - colors of your choice! Starbucks + Jewelry = PERFECTION

So you know what to do - & i feel like a broken record saying this again but if you're new around here I highly suggest signing into your email, twitter, facebook accounts. It will make your life SO much easier! Good luck loves!

I actually love the rain too, I used to think this was linked to depression hahahaha but anyone who knows me, COME. ON ;) Loving all the Halloween decor and how Paige named her animals after foods! When I was little, I named our dogs colors. We had a dog named Red and a dog named Blue...I had some pretty awesome parents for allowing me to get away with those haha. Have a great weekend,my western sissybelle!

awesome giveaway! I look for someone who can get my blog's name out to a new group of bloggers when picking people to sponsor.

i look for someone who will really try and get my name out there. not someone who just wants my ad for money.

I have the opposite Halloween stuff going on. Never had any kids FOR YEARS, until 2010 we bought our new (old) house and now we get a ton. The first year I ran out of candy after an hour!
I want to hit Disneyland, too. Hopefully sometime in the next month! I need to renew my annual pass actually. thanks for reminding me. ;)

I look for someone who not only wants to help me get my name out, but that I also enjoy reading. I don't want to sponsor a blog I'm not interested in reading myself.

Great giveaway! Paige is awesome. :)

I look for someone who seems like they truly care about me and my blog. Someone also who has the time to help me with promoting my projects. Not just someone who puts together a giveaway and I never hear from them again and I know they don't even read a single post of my blog. :)

when sponsoring a blog I look for a.) number of followers b.) how often they post and c.) how often they use twitter.

I look for someone that can help me grow, but mostly someone that is real and I can have a relationship with. If there is no relationship it would feel to fake for me. Plus I like to support bloggers that deserve support :)

I look for how much they want to help me with promoting me via twitter and their blog. I like to get to know people for a little bit before I sponsor them so I know that I'm investing in something good :)

I look at the blogs content to make sure that it interests me and would interest my readers. And, to make sure the blog readers would be interested in my blog. I like to have some sort of twitter relationship too with the blogger, know them on some level. At least a little bit. :)

I look for friendlyness. Seriously, I've sponsored bigger bloggers that just take on sponsors for the money. I never even heard from them. I look for bloggers that will interact with me and get to know me.

Why thank you Mia! You're pretty awesome too! :D

I look for 2 things... positive feed back from bloggers that have sponsored them before and a good price! I have a very limited budget when it comes to sponsorships and I have to get as much "Bang for my buck" as I can.

Sara {Miss V's Busy Bees} said...

I look for someone that is able to fit in my "budget" as some other people have said. I also look for someone that's honest and genuine on their own blog... because then I know they'll be genuine with me! Thanks for the giveaway, Kelly & Paige!

I look at value for the price. And similar bloggers whose readers might actually want to read mine if they like the blog I'm sponsoring.

Rachel Shearer said...

Well, this is gonna sound cheap but... I look for good packages on good blogs with GREAT prices. I will not pay a ton for any ad spaces!
