if i could change it.....

hellllllllo friday! i really like the quote above....so many people tend focus on the negative side of things & not to look at the bigger picture & realize life is pretty good

I love my life. Sure I have my fair share of problems like everybody else but overall I am a pretty happy girl. There are however, a few teeny tiny little things I would be open to changing if I could....one of them being, my name

I know weird right? Its not that I don't like my name, I just don't think its anything special. When I was little I was OBSESSED with the name Melissa. I don't know why, but it's what I named every baby of mine. But as I grew older the name Melissa was no longer my favorite. I think as the times change, my favorite names change as well.

SO I give you

The Top Ten Names I Would Change my Name too if I Could

ten. Harper
nine. Ashley
eight. Madison
seven. Dylan
six. Mackenzie
five. McKenna
four. Casey
three. Kate
two. Alexis

aaanddd the Number One name I would change my name to if I could is.........

i just love it...its different & not one you hear a lot...plus im a huge Beatles fan.

what would YOU change your name to if you could?

and now moving onto a blogger I am so excited for you to meet! She is a newbie in the blogging world and someone I really respect. Right from the beginning she has been such a strong supporter of MessyDirtyHair & such an amazing bloggy friend to me. She blew me out of the water when she participated in #TheMessyProject & I am obsessed with her SUPER cool blog design. This girl is as original and real as it gets and I love her for it. SO without further ado its with my pleasure to introduce to you.....

Hi there Messy Girls!!! My name is Dinah from Sunshine Super Glam!

I blog about anything and everything hair, makeup, fashion, sarcasm, humor, and pop culture.
I am an extremely fun loving girl who just adores trying new and exciting things, seeing a live concert, and offering my glamtastic touch (aka hair stylin) to my clients and friends.

I was inspired to start a blog of my own thanks to some awesome friends who encouraged me to take a leap and show off my creativity and love for life and all that comes with it, whether it be a new outfit I am diggin, or movie that just gets my creative juices a flowin!

Some randy mcrandomness about yours truly....

1. I am married to my best friend Eric and we live in Richmond, VA with our doggy chloe.
2. I am a born and raised mid west girl from Michigan
3. Punk rock and anything edgy is my fashion staple.
4. If you have a good sense of humor I will love you forever.
5. I am a licensed cosmetologist and it is truly my #1 passion in life.

If I could give any advice about blogging, it would be to just be real and true to yourself. Don't sugarcoat or change your views to impress other people. If someone doesn't like what you put out there then they do not have to read now do they... ;-) I like to blog because it makes me happy. I am so honored and thrilled to be over at Kelly's blog today. I adore her and her style, she's the bomb!!!!!!

isn't she fabulous?! So sassy! SO today the fabulous Dinah is giving you messy readers the chance to win 'Oribe' Dry Texturizing Spray & her FAVORITE Yves St. Laurent Red Lipstick EVER!

a little something for your hair and little something for your lips...perfection!

tgif lovers!

I instantly thought of the song with your top choice. LOL My ex's cat was named that.

I think I would like a name like my daughter's. I love Emma, Grace, Emily, Gwendolyn.

When I was little I was obsessed with names like Samantha, Stephanie, Tina...but I like my name now, even if there were tons of us when I grew up.

Love your name choices!

I would totally change my name to Hudson, lane or Sloane. When I'm out at the bars and i know I don't want to talk to someone I tell them one of those names. It is a fun game to play!

I love all of those names! And I can see them fitting you too, but I love YOUR name! Do you think it's something about it being such a popular name? I go by Niki because growing up, there were always at least three other Nicoles in class and I wanted to stand out more!

I can definitely see you being an Ashely. I've been asked several times if I'll change my name and the answer is always the same - never! 1) I LOVE my name. It fits me and 2) as my mom says "she'd kill me" :) Have a great weekend love!

I hear you! I'm not too fond of my name, either. I also wish I was a natural blonde with green eyes. We always want what we don't have!

I love that Madison and Kate are on your list! I've always loved those names and have had the name Madison Kate picked out for my future daughter forever!

Nothing. I would not change my name. I mean there are tons of names that I think are beautiful but I have grown to love my name as Katie and it works for me.

Great blog!

I wanted the name Niki when I was a kid! Now probably my daughters name Ava or the {other} girl name we had picked out and never used, Maura (like Laura with an M) There is good in everything, no matter how bad it is. After loosing my boy it took some digging, but it was there and I just have to focus on that.
