i have no words

I had another post prepared for today but it's about 2:22 AM & I just got back from the Animal Emergency Room. My mom's dog & basically my dog too Lucy was having problems breathing this evening & it just kept getting worse so we took her in. They told us she was going through heart failure & that eventually her heart will die.

They put her on some medicine to help push out the fluids in her lungs to help her breath better. Along with a lot of other medicines.

Right now Lucy could use all your prayers.

She was our very first rescue dog & she did not come from a good life. But despite her horrible past she is the happiest dog I have ever met. Not to mention the silliest, hence why her name is Lucy. She's our baby & we love her beyond words. She is a gift from God.

I don't know why all of a sudden God threw this into my life...it's really hard to grasp....I am not strong when it comes to this kind of stuff, especially with my animals. i really have no words.

I'm Soooo sorry :( when my puppy was 12 they said she had cancer throughout her body. she pushed and was able to have two additional active years. It's amazing what some positive thoughts can do. Will give that cute little pup lots of positive thoughts! give her a hug from all of us :)

My heart breaks for you and your family. We had to put our first fur baby down this weekend. Our cat was 12 and having heart failure and had cancer and the vet said even if we did surgery she didn't think it would help. Praying for you all!

Oh my word I hate hearing about animals like this and the suffering. It just makes my heart so sad. Over the weekend, my friend's dog drowned and someone passed along the "Rainbow Bridge" poem. It's so perfect. I will be saying lots of prayers for Lucy and of course, for you too.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sorry to hear about this, Kelly. I went through something similar a few years back when my labrador, Katie, was walking funny and refusing to eat. It turned out she had toxic tumors in her stomach and the veterinarian said that they would rupture any day now and it would be best to put her down. So we did, and we knew it was the best thing to do, but missing her was so hard on all of us.

Pets become such a significant part of our lives. They have such a big heart for their humans.

Praying that these medications do wonders with Lucy. And also praying that you find strength and comfort.

Praying for you dear. I know how important animals are. When I was little my cat went into kidney failure. My pastor at the time said Heaven for him would be a place with no animals. I went to a church of abt 500+ members, but he took the time out of his day to come to my house and pray over a little girls cat. Hugs Kelly, you're going to be ok.

I am praying for Lucy! I know how hard this is and there is nothing that anyone can say to make you feel better. The only thing you can do is hug, love and be with her. She knows how much you love her.
There is nothing like loving our pets.
Thinking about you all!
