I am going to be brutally honest here. I am the wife and the mom. When it comes to keeping the house on budget, it is all on me. I love him, but my husband is not a saver. I am the one that tends to not do/get/buy/own in the family - and that is by choice, not dictate by the husband. He would love for me to get stuff, and doesn't understand when I say no, it isn't the best use of our money right now. It would be fun to be able to splurge.
